Damianos Gavalas, PhD, is a Professor of Internet Technologies and Ubiquitous Computing at the Department of Product and Systems Design Engineering, University of the Aegean, Greece. His research interests lie in the fields of mobile/pervasive computing and extended reality.
He has co-authored over 200 scientific publications on the above subjects, which have received over 7000 citations. He has received 3 best paper awards for articles presented in international conferences. He regularly serves as external evaluator and review panel member for proposals submitted to European and research councils.
He has participated as a coordinator or key researcher in several research and development projects funded by Greek national and European funding bodies.

He has co-authored over 70 publications on the above subjects, while he has served as a TCP member and as a guest editor in relevant international conferences and journals respectively.
He has also participated as a coordinator and/or key researcher in research and development projects receiving national (Greek) and International (European) funding.

Androniki Agelada is a PhDc Student (2021 – Today), Aegean University, studying methodological approaches for including virtual humans in IVR applications representing and promoting cultural heritage.
She has a bachelors’ degree on Telecommunications Science (2018) from the Department of Telecommunications Science and Technology, University of Peloponnese, Tripoli, Greece, and a master's degree, in Cultural Informatics (2021) from the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication, University of Aegean, Mytilene, Greece.
Her expertise focuses on N-IVR and IVR applications development while she is proficient on VRChat applications development.
